I don’t know if I’d say that every church service is crucial to your spiritual walk, but I would say that they are all needed.
Every Sunday school, Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday night service of our church is unique and gives you something good. I mean…something! At least something spiritually helpful is said or done every time we meet together.
On Sundays, the Word of God is preached.
Multiple times.
Have you ever thought of this…you’ll never know what God would have done in your life if you had been in a service you missed. Home playing video games? At the mall? Out with friends? You’ll never know if God wanted to do something amazing in your life.
I’ve told you before that I approach every Sunday school as if the sermon that day will be life-changing.
Seriously!
I really think every Sunday: “If they’ll get this today, then their lives will be changed.” So I study and prepare to preach with that goal in mind: life change.
Does it always happen? Nope. Guess when it will NEVER happen…
It will NEVER happen to the person that’s not there to hear it.
Every church service is important. Every time God’s Word is opened, it can help you.
I talked last Sunday about not coming to church all-Mr.-Grouchy-Pants. I mentioned that we should come expecting to worship our Saviour. You know, the One who died to save us from our sins.
When you come to church, expect to hear from God. Expect to be changed. It starts with something easy…come! I hope tonight is a help to you once again.
