Every year it seems like the Christmas season goes by so quickly. Many of you may have put up your decorations the day after Thanksgiving. Although with all the stores pushing Christmas so early, it is almost as if they overlooked Thanksgiving! We were very careful to not overlook this uniquely Christian holiday here at Calvary Baptist Church. Thanking God for daily loading us with benefits (Psalm 68:19) is something we can always be reminded of, but we are especially reminded at this time of year to be thankful for the greatest gift of all… Jesus Christ.
Although Thanksgiving is over, every Christian should still have a spirit of gratitude. Even secular musicians this coming month will sing about Jesus Christ’s birth as they sing the traditional Christmas carols, and we are all better off when we constantly remember our King of Love.
