Service is at the heart of God. Life as a Christian is about others, not self, so serving others is how to focus your attention on others. It’s not just about thinking about others, but actually about doing things to help others.
You can serve God by serving others. Many of you are great servants. Keep up the good work.
Sometimes, though, you are not always sure where to serve. Here are a couple suggestions:
Weekly class setup. If you are able and interested, I need someone who will become the person to set up the tables for the ladies Bible study. Every Wednesday it needs to be set up a certain way. If you are interested in an area in which you can be faithful, please let me know. It is too hard for most of you, I know. But the one (or two) who is willing will be serving God.
Wash chalkboard. I would like the chalkboard washed each week. It takes about 5-7 minutes with a sponge-mop. It is a simple job that can be done maybe Wednesday nights after church, Sunday nights after church, Saturdays after door-knocking, or any other time in the week.
Serving God is usually plain ol’ work. Let me know if you are able to help in this way. I’m excited to see who’s first to volunteer.
