If you go door-knocking each week, you have had some practice talking with strangers. Our outreach training on Wednesday nights has been about reaching others with the Gospel—the good news.
Are you comfortable speaking with strangers about spiritual things? It takes practice, but you can get there. “Yeah, but I don’t wanna!” You should!
Outreach—reaching out—is about others. Your life as a Christian should be about others. Do you know how to share your faith with others?
Tonight, we are going to try something different. We are going to pair up and practice. Taking last week’s notes, after the teaching time we will take some time to practice on each other.
Don’t be awkward about it, and don’t be all weird about it, either. Don’t treat it like it’s a stupid project… just roll with it! If you’re the door-knocker, you can use your notes if you need, but practice going through what we’ve been talking about. (If this is your first night in our class, you can sit this one out!)
If you’re the person who’s door is knocked, act like it. Open up your door. You can be sassy or interested; rude or nice. But remember, it’s your turn next! Each person will take a couple tries at it until we get through the whole routine.
Enjoy!
