Tonight is our second performance of A CHRISTIAN CHRISTMAS CAROL, and God has seen fit to give us favor on this event. Hundreds of our guests are hearing of the good news of Jesus Christ—the Gospel—and that is directly related to the mission of our church and every Bible preaching church in the world.
The Great Commission drives what we do.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
I love that you are a church that loves people.
We are a church that works.
We are a church that glorifies the Lord in excellence. 1 Corinthians 14:12 “Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.”
The sets, the costumes, the lights, the livestream, the script, the sound effects——all of it serves the message. And the message is the Gospel.
We just get to be pipes, carrying that good message to others.
Would you take time to pray this afternoon for tonight’s guests? I want so badly for people to be saved and for lives to be changed as a result of this play.
