Today we start a brand new series through the book of Joshua called: NOT ONE THING FAILED, which is a play on the words of Joshua 23:14 “And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.”
Exactly what God promised, He delivered. And guess what? He’s still doing that today.
What good is the Bible if it’s mere history? Sure, Joshua includes historical info, but it is not the mere retelling of how Israel gained the Promised Land. Instead, it is a portrait of our covenant-keeping God—a God who fights our battles and brings us victory through Jesus Christ!
Someone told me last week, “Coming here has changed our family, because it’s THE WORD. We got some self-help stuff at the last place, but, here, it is all about the Bible, and THAT is what’s helpful!”
I can’t think of a better compliment.
